May the Force be with you!
On second thoughts I think the IOC is currently headed by some completely retarded people.. First they eliminated the 50m events and now they want toy guns... Next they might reduce the age limit to 5...

This appears to be a silly but very cunning idea. If IOC is so much enthusiastic about laser guns, it should start a separate event for beginners. Once these beginners fully graduate in shooting with lasers they can move on to shooting with real guns. The lasers go in a perfect straight line but the bullets move in a parabolic trajectory. Target shooting guns that fire bullets requires lot of skill because there are so many parameters one has to take care of.

Re: IOC looking to replace bullets with Laser
One day i had a good deal of argument with my friend over this topic. We had no idea about any such proposal at that time.He was in favour of laser guns because he has never shot an air rifle.
In the end his idea was proclaimed to be foolish one by me.
I guess i am going to face real sarcasm now when we meet.

Very much agree with GBM. There are a ton of factors which matter while shooting- like wind, altitude, temperature etc. And the reason to do this could be to restrict arms license in the name of sport.

What an unbelievably stupid idea!! Absolutely otrageous-it's an Olympic sport for crying out loud!! What next -wrestling using playstation to be introduced by the IOC so injuries can be avoided!! Are they going to hold the next Olympic games in an arcade??

Somebody should definitely suggest this idea to the silicon valley to make it a reality... Suddenly the world will become overly aware about the human rights violations occurring due to sporting events...SMJ wrote:Are they going to hold the next Olympic games in an arcade??
