Dear all,
Heard on grapevine that on grounds of "gender equality", Rio 2016 might actually be the last Olympics for 50m Free Pistol. Since that was a "male" event", Standard Pistol might come in vogue for both male & female. Anyone, any idea ?

If that's true, this is one of the silliest reasons to stop an event, IMHO.
Do men do figure skating, by any chance? Or the gym events with ribbons and rings?
