Is the bayonet a WW2 Japanese one (to be used with Arisaka rifles or something like that)?

Jonah,
I feel that the Bayonet closely resembles the American Bayonet for the American Enfield Rifle Model 1917, 1914. The giveaway is the Drain Hole close to the base. The picture is not very clear to see the curve of the base of the handle...
It is similar to the British Bayonet of Pattern 1913, except that that one had a pair of grooves in the centre of the wooden grips...

SD, yes the bayonet is an original arisaka bayonet circa WW2
Olly I believe the bayonet I quizzed you about is the very rare 1907 lee enfield bayonet
