Forcing Pattern on kirpan

So after few hours here is , how forced patina pattern looks on my taksali kirpan ,
i am not satisfied with the results
maybe i will try few more things via hit and try method

Nice tiger stripes! How did you get them?

I think you want them to be darker?? Use ketchup / vinegar / mustard for the base then use thick paste of ferric chloride for drawing the stripes with earbud.

i will try , maybe i will give it a complete rub with steel wool and start with new etch and give it a stone wash

i will try new things and update here latter :)

Use a 1200 sandpaper to get the current patina off.
